Chesapeake Bay

This is a front view of our cottage colony on the Chesapeake Bay.

The Lucas cottage is the one immediately right of the pier. It is now owned by Tony and his sister Linda Hayes. Our cottage is used on a seasonal basis. The other residences are now occupied year around. Ours and most of our neighbors' properties have been family owned since the early 1920's.

This picture was taken from the front of our cottage about 6 a.m. one morning in late fall. Our cottage faces east looking towards the shoreline of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The views of the Chesapeake Bay are beautiful and always changing.

Tony spent every summer of his childhood at the cottage. There were three other boys his own age that lived in adjoining properties.
Gary Ellis, Norman Beckwith, Donnie Demorland and Tony shared many adventures together while growing up on the Chesapeake Bay.
