The Great Range from Hurricane Road Hi! Welcome to the Adirondacks. We live in the Town of Keene which is located about 15 miles from Lake Placid in upstate New York. Our home is located in the High Peaks section of the Adirondacks. We discovered the Adirondacks about 20 years ago and moved here permanently about 10 years ago. There is a great deal to see and do here, and through this web site we hope to share with you some of our experiences and adventures. Tony has an avid interest in digital photography and this web site will feature many of his pictures. The Family News section features information about our friends and family. There is a linked page titled "Travels" which will feature pictures of and information about our recent travel destinations and will often feature daily updates. While the Family News section will mainly be of interest to family and close friends, we hope others will enjoy viewing the photographs. The Adirondacks section features information and pictures about the many cultural and recreational activities available in our area. It includes a frequently updated schedule of events. Links to informative local web sites are provided. Pictures of our home and gardens are also provided. The Chesapeake Bay section features pictures and information about the Annapolis area of the Chesapeake Bay. Tony and his sister, Linda Hayes, own an inherited seasonal cottage which is located directly on the Bay in Shadyside, Maryland. Old scanned photographs of earlier days on the Bay and recent pictures are featured in this section. The Maine section features pictures, news and information about mid-coast Maine. We love the rugged coast of Maine and spend several weeks there each year. Maine is an artist's and photographer's paradise. Tony loves photographing Maine lighthouses and several of his favorite pictures are displayed. Links are provided to some of the galleries and performing arts centers we visit each year. We have also provided a link to the web site of Maine and Pennsylvania artist Bradley Hendershot. Bradley is a close friend whom we visit in both Maine and Pennsylvania. The commentary section provides an opportunity for us to air our views on a variety of topics. An e-mail link is provided so you can easily add your comments. Noteworthy viewer comments will be displayed. If you wish to contact us, we can be contacted at the postal and e-mail addresses shown below. You may also want to review our Consulting Business web site, Career North. We offer Human Resource and Business Management assistance to individuals, businesses and organizations. We look forward to hearing from you. You are visitor number:
